They’ll be showing some of their archive footage along with meeting all you guys out there!
You may not know who Cosgrove Hall are but you’ll know their productions! These are the masterminds behind Dangermouse, Postman Pat, Noddy, Count Duckula and many more! Yes Brian and Mark have entertained children for generations and now you get the chance to meet them!
Cosgrove Hall go back as far as 1969 when they were called Stop Frame Productions. Operating from Manchester Brian and Mark had the passion and desire for animation is what got them their success. Their first series was called Chorlton and the Wheelies named after the district they lived in. The show sold worldwide.
Later in 1975 Stop Frame Productions changed their name to Cosgrove Hall Films. The studio moved on to make Dangermouse. It became one of the studio’s earliest international successes. In 1981 they moved onto making a full feature-length film. This was once again a success! After winning a BAFTA and an International Emmy Award.

Winners & Sponsors
Posted on 24. Oct, 2011 by Renata Walton in blog
Well I bet you’ve all been wondering how we will choose the winners at this years Flip, and after much deliberation and chatting to you guys, one of the best things about this festival is the sense of community, so we’re going to leave it up to the community on a whole to decide the winners in each section & category.
So your films will be judge, on the day, by a mixture of those in the industry or academia, in the Wolverhampton community, those that have their work featured and festival staff & volunteers. So pick up your voting forms at the information point just before each screening.
We’re also delighted to announce that the winners will receive a rather lovely prize pack, including some wicked StopMotion Pro software, official sponsors of Flip 2011.
So look out 2012, we’ll see a massive influx of some brilliant stop motion films hitting the big screens…
