CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS – We’re back!!

There have been a few changes around these parts recently with the father of Flip, Peter McLuskie, moving onto pastures new earlier this year and Light House, the home of Flip, facing funding challenges due to the changing landscape of the Screen Agencies and the UK Film Council.
However there is no stopping us and taking the mantel for this years Festival is “The FLIP Team” overseen by Kelly Jeffs, Deputy CEO for Light House, it consists of; Renata Walton (Festival Coordinator), Drew Roper (Industry Curator), and Kathryn Kliszat (Education Coordinator) and me, Steph Jennings, (Digital Marketing Assistant) and we are proud to have successfully sourced transition funds to continue to deliver Flip as you know and love it!
This years festival will be held, on Thursday 27 to Saturday 29 October (2011 of course) and we’re already looking for animators to submit films of up to 15 minutes in length.
As ever we have an open door policy on accepting animations from; Young people, Regional, National and International participants. With an annual award for Best of Festival, Best UK, Best International, Stop Motion and Best Newcomer (under 18).
